What belongs in the directory
Garage Hoppers accepts genuine garage sales, estate sales, moving sales, community sales, swap meets and free-item listings. A listing needs a usable location, a current schedule and enough information for a shopper to understand what kind of event or pickup it represents.
Commercial spam, duplicates, misleading events and content unrelated to local second-hand sales may be rejected or removed. Publication is not an endorsement of a seller, item or transaction.
What is checked before publication
Submitted sale listings are reviewed before publication. The review looks for a coherent address and map location, future dates, plausible opening hours, the correct sale category and obvious privacy or content problems in the supplied text and photos.
Review improves the directory but cannot guarantee that every detail remains accurate. Sellers control their plans, inventory changes and circumstances on the property. Shoppers should check the current listing before travelling.
How corrections are handled
Sellers and organizers can request a correction or early removal by contacting crew@garagehoppers.com with the listing URL or sale address. Community participants can use their private management link where that option is available.
Clear corrections—such as a changed time, cancelled date or misplaced map pin—are prioritized because they can prevent a wasted trip. Garage Hoppers may also remove content that violates the terms of use or creates a privacy concern.
What happens after a sale
Expired sales are removed from the active search experience. Established city pages can remain available so shoppers have a stable place to check for the next event, but expired household listings are not turned into a public historical directory.
This approach keeps city URLs useful to search engines without publishing an easily copied archive of past addresses, descriptions and inventory.
How advertising is kept separate
Advertising does not determine whether a listing is approved, where a sale appears in search results or what category it receives. Pages without sufficient useful content are not intended to carry ads.
Sponsored community features, if offered, are identified separately from ordinary directory results. Garage Hoppers’ first responsibility is that shoppers can distinguish listings, controls and advertising without confusion.
How to report a problem
Email crew@garagehoppers.com with the page URL, the specific information you believe is wrong and the correction you are requesting. Do not send passwords, banking information or unnecessary identification.
